The sterile Hydrosorb gel by Hartmann is a clear viscous gel from the syringe and suitable for moist wound treatment.
Hydrosorb gel is individually eingesieglt in Schuzhüllen. The viscose gel has an electrolytic composition, which immediately ensures a balanced moist wound environment. It softens dry, necrotic tissue and facilitates the release. In addition, the gel absorbs wound exudate and coverings of low exuding wounds and is sterile irrigating solution to remove without wound irritation from the wound. Hydrosorb gel in syringes with opposite scale for exact determination and documentation of wound volume and the amount of gel is still available. For use, the gel is 5 mm thick applied to the wound and covered with a suitable secondary dressing.
