Electrode & Contact Gel
The Medicalcorner24® electrode gel is a contact gel with very high electrical conductivity, which is mostly used for ECG or EEG examinations.
Our electrode gel complies with the hygiene standard for medical facilities and is offered in various filling quantities, packaging units and container sizes. If you have any questions about this contact gel, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Further information at the end of this page.
Information on Electrode Gel and Contact Gel
Due to its very high electrical conductivity, the electrode gel enables interference-free transmission of electrical impulses against the contact resistance of the skin surface into the interior of the body. At the same time, it serves as a skin-friendly lubricant and acts as a protective layer between the electrodes and the skin against possible irritations.
Properties of Electrode & Contact Gel
The electrode and contact gel offered is hypoallergenic, has a pH value between 5.5 and 6 and is gentle on the skin even with longer applications. In addition, the gel is non-greasy and does not leave any stains on skin or clothing. As an electrode gel, it has optimal conductivity for ECG and EEG examinations, EMG muscle training, tens devices or chest belts, as well as for defibrillation and incontinence therapies using electrolytes.
Note:A special ultrasound gel, which is offered here, should be used for ultrasound examinations.
MC24 Electrode Gel - Application
Examinations of the heart via ECG or measurements of brain activity via EEG are non-invasive procedures - they take place on the body surface. Here, for example, the electrode gel is applied to the electrodes before they are attached to the body. After the examination, the contact gel can be wiped off with a towel without leaving any residue.
