With the Tokio SL, BIRKENSTOCK has developed the right clog for all professions that demand great endurance from wearers and feet. Its super outsole rolls ideally and has an anti-slip effect. An EVA midsole cushions every step. The special rubber tread provides noticeable surefootedness. This stable hold is reinforced by the adjustable heel strap. Professionals in medicine and kitchens appreciate this just as much as service staff who are often on their feet for long hours. The sole of the Tokio SL has been tested according to the specifications of EN ISO 20347:2012 with regard to slip resistance.

Upper material: natural leather

Our natural leather is mostly smooth leather, in some cases rolled leather. This type of leather has many special properties, such as breathability, adaptation to the shape of the foot and durability.

Inner sole: Leather insole

The skin-friendly, flexible leather cover sole gently nestles against the foot and adapts to its contours. The open-pored and thus particularly breathable surface enables a pleasant foot climate even during heavy physical activity.

Footbed material: Cork

Cork is a renewable raw material obtained from the bark of the cork oak. The natural product is heat insulating and has very good cushioning properties.

Outsole: Super outsole

The super outsole consists of two components: an anti-slip, oil- and grease-resistant rubber outsole and a shock-absorbing midsole made of lightweight, flexible EVA plastic.
