The Colonoscopy Training Model from Erler Zimmer is excellent for learning how to handle a colonoscope as part of medical education.

Der Simulator ist aus Spezialsilikon gefertigt, welches haptisch als auch in der Farbgebung der inneren Strukturen annähernd einem lebenden Körper entspricht. Zu Trainingszwecken kann zum Zweck der Identifikation und des Auffindens ein künstlicher Polyp im aufsteigenden und absteigenden Kolon angebracht werden. Ein LST (laterally spreading tumor) ist im aufsteigenden Kolon dargestellt. Optionale Ergänzungen ermöglichen zudem auch das Üben endoskopischer Eingriffe, wie beispielsweise das Resektieren eines Polypen oder das Einführen eines Ballon-Enteroskops in den Dünndarm.
